MONTICELLO COUNTRY CLUB | MONTICELLO, KENTUCKY ⛳️

Located among the rolling foothills of Wayne County, this nine-hole course has been part of the Monticello community since 1968.

What stands out from the air is how beautifully the course sits between town and countryside—neighborhoods on one side, open farmland and wooded ridges on the other. Its tree-lined fairways, carefully maintained greens, and small ponds make it a striking part of the local landscape.

Tucked inside one of Lake Cumberland’s sweeping bends, Woodson Bend offers a beautiful mix of wooded shoreline, lakefront living, and golf-course views near Bronston, Kentucky.
From the air, you can really appreciate the deep-green water winding around the peninsula—and the boat cutting through the scene made the timing even better.

A different side of Pulaski County from above.

Just off Highway 80 east of Somerset, near Coal Pit Road, sits Laurel Quarry—an active limestone and crushed-stone operation now operated by Heidelberg Materials.

The enormous stair-step formation visible in these photographs is created as limestone is removed in controlled sections called benches. At the bottom, the stone is crushed, sorted by size and collected into the large aggregate piles used for construction, concrete, asphalt and roadwork.

Despite the name Coal Pit Road, this is not a coal mine—it is a surface limestone quarry.
