Jean Wolford is the owner/operator of Jean Wolford Photography LLC, who believes in the power of laughter and movement in helping everyone enjoy getting their photo taken. She began the journey almost 9 years ago as an aspiring photographer when an artist out of Alaska contacted her about painting one of her photographs and has now become a household name within her community. Her main genre is all things family, from maternity to newborn, family sessions and seniors. She accepts a limited number of weddings each year and gives them an entire experience. It is in creating lasting impressions and lifelong clients/friends that she finds the most joy and satisfaction.

When I started photography nearly 13 years ago, I remember making the comment to Mike that I wanted to be the Star photographer.

I got this in the mail today and figured I’d check since I haven’t checked Google and yelp status in awhile.

I’m not doing too bad. I currently rank #7 for photographer over all in Star and #3 for headshots.

I plan to continue to bring excellence to my clients as long as possible.

Photos are meant to invoke an emotion.

To make you feel something.

To take you back to a moment you thought you’d forgotten. To hear their laugh again. To remember how tiny those hands once were. To feel the joy, the chaos, the connection, the love.

A beautiful photo is wonderful, but I want more than beautiful.

I want to capture the way it felt.

Because years from now, you may not remember what everyone was wearing or whether everything went perfectly. But when you look at that photograph, I want the emotion of that moment to come rushing back.

That’s why I do what I do.

I’m not just taking photos.

I’m preserving pieces of your story.
