"Remnants - Forrestry Residential Remnants" ("Both riches and honor come from YOU and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone." 1 Chron 29:12) Many such lumber yards ares slowly taken over by the forest. I wonder, as a remnant of God's, how we and I leave marks and what will be remembered. I am grateful that we can sit in God's hand! The workers cut with back breaking labor until the heavy machinery was brought in. Later, railroad strips would be the source to carry the loads out for hauling. Here, the remnants of a more modern bunk house are all that remains to show men slept in this spot. Photography is for sale with Watermarks removed. "Black Skimmer Amidst Seagulls" Find him. While the Skimmer is not black that is because this is the winter plummage. The large group took off. The frames prior do not contain him, but when they landed seconds later, he was present for supper! What a blessing I had in photographing this series! ("I know that thou favourest me." "Off With Supper" Enjoy a bit of MS Coast for a while as I am in the mood too! While they are not the most graceful of birds, I have loved them since my days of living on The Coast. This series was a fun photography catch too. He enjoyed his catch as well! Seems they splat when they hit the water but that is how they were trained and how their bodies work.People are the same. "Love At Sunset" The start of our early 2016 storms also produced grand sunsets. To me they are a promise of cleansing and newness. God has not forgotten us and often spared many. "I Am The Vine" Stained Glass Window of First Presbeterian Church, Petal Mississippi. Getting to go inside was a "God Winked At Me Moment" and perhaps for the pastor too. I was given the freedom to photograph whiie he shared memories even of this pew or that board. What a love he has! "Ugandan Art - Beads of Paper" I do love Open Air Local Markets, the smells of food cooking, fresh vegetables, friendly smiles, dogs, moms on blankets watching while the kids crawl or play. I also love the special finds of missions serving other countries. Having been to Kenya just for such, this Uganda table caught my eye, and yes, I did make a small purchase. "Afternoon Snooze" Even his little legs were just about to relax around the limb as he was truly ready for a Spring nap in the new warm sunshine. Those naps sure can be nice! "Tulips For Easter or A Sign of Spring?" Newness, as sense of renewal and the beauty of change. Now, I step on my own toes. ("Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure?" God then answered, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds." Jeremiah 30:15) From "The Word For You Today Feb 2, 2016 the devotion went on to say "Festering wounds from past relationships are dangerous wounds.... they're still hurting you..... Bitterness will eat you alive if you don't forgive... God will give you the grace to forgive and let it go, but you must make the choice to be cleansed of resentment by forgiving the offender. There is no other way to peace and freedom."
