My Family 🤍
Almost six months ago, my Mommy went home to be with Jesus. This Thanksgiving season has been a time of deep reflection. Remembering all the times I got to share with my favorite lady, the laughs, prayers, hugs, food, LOVE and SO much more. I can’t lie, saying “goodbye” to my mom was nothing I could’ve ever imagined or prepared for. I miss her with every breath. My family is forever changed.
On this day, exactly 2 years ago - we received the news of how sick Mommy was and the hard road that would be ahead of us. The wild thing is just a few hours before, I had made a post on my page emphasizing cherishing life and all those around you. I don’t think that post was made in bad timing. I think God was preparing my heart for the season that was ahead for me and my family. My mom was my number one cheerleader for my photography. She has been the praying force for many of my sessions where I would be unqualified and anxious about.
Although it has not been easy and grief can often feel like we’re drowning, the peace and joy that we have felt knowing Moms at rest is unexplainable. I will never know how to express my upmost gratitude for the comfort we have been engulfed with.
Capturing our family was important to me and there is NO ONE I trust more to bring my vision to life than .serene ! Her talent is a gift to this world but
her care is the true blessing. We LOVE you, girl!
So after all of that, thank you to all my clients who still booked me through my Instagram hiatus and have been patient with me while waiting to receive their albums. I promise, I am doing my absolute best to get you your final edits. 🙏🏾
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to my clients, old and new and to my friends and family! I hope you all feel a love like I have had the pleasure of experiencing and a joy that totally carries you through all the hardships life throws your way! 🤍
