A quick FAQ because I’ve been asked several times lately. 🤍

Do I photograph quinceañeras or large weddings?

The answer is no, but I am truly honored every time someone asks!!

While I do offer event photography, my focus is on smaller events (think backyard weddings), festivals, community gatherings, and storytelling-centered sessions. Weddings and quinceañeras are beautiful, but they require a level of specialization that I deeply respect, and I know there are photographers who do it exceptionally well.

Having grown up around the event industry, I have a huge appreciation for the amount of work, talent, and dedication that goes into capturing those once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. It’s simply a different niche, and one that I know is best left to the professionals who specialize in it.

Today was one for the books!❤️⚽️📸

When I first said yes to photographing fans at the USA 🇺🇸 vs. Senegal 🇸🇳 match, I was nervous! “Sports” photography isn’t my usual world, and stepping into something unfamiliar felt very intimidating.

But as I walked through the crowds, I was reminded that what I love most isn’t a specific type of photography; it’s people. It’s the joy on a child’s face, the pride of wearing your team’s colors, the hugs, the laughter, the anticipation, and the memories being made.

I’m grateful for opportunities that push me beyond what feels comfortable and remind me that growth lives on the other side of fear. Tonight wasn’t just about taking photos. It was about witnessing connection, passion, and community through a different lens.

And for that, I’m incredibly thankful. 🤍

Through sudden cold, wind, and rain… we pushed through 🤍
And these two? Absolute champs!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple, literally dancing in the rain, they made the absolute best of it! They looked stunning, brought the energy, and were so much fun to work with ✨

Definitely one of my most difficult sessions to shoot, but also one of the most memorable. Sometimes the unexpected moments turn into the best memories ☔️🎞️

Thank you to the property owner for letting us use your field and even having it perfectly mowed for us, you’re awesome 😎!!!!

As Mother’s Day gets closer, I’ve been reflecting a lot on my journey into motherhood… and Lord knows I could probably write a book!

There were moments I didn’t recognize myself and seasons of darkness where I truly didn’t think I’d ever see the light again…

But little by little… I found my way back.
Through healing, through growth… and through picking up my camera to capture my sweet boys. Photography became more than art, it helped me come back to myself..

In a world filled with so much noise and anxiety, I’ve realized how easy it is to forget to slow down… to really be present and take in the small, ordinary moments that mean everything.

So to any mom walking through a “night” season, I see you. You’re not alone, and there is light waiting for you too.… remember to take care of yourselves because Mamas can’t pour from an empty cup!

I’ve seen a lot of new faces here lately, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself 👋

Hi, I’m April 🤍 the gal behind the lens!

A little about me:
I’m a mama of 3 boys who are my whole heart, my grounding, and the reason I started seeing life the way I do now. 💙 I’m married to the most amazing man who probably wishes I wasn’t on Amazon so much but is truly my #1 fan and biggest supporter!! 😆

I absolutely love LOVE, and my life is what I call “organized chaos” 😊

Photography wasn’t something I had originally planned… it grew out of a season of motherhood, healing, and learning to trust myself again when I didn’t fully feel ready.

Photos by A Gal came to be from a place of craving connection and wanting to find the beauty in life’s moments not just in my story, but in yours too!!

My favorite part of what I do is getting to witness my clients grow, succeed, fall in love, and step into new chapters of their lives. There’s something so special about being trusted with those moments over and over again and I truly feel blessed 🤍

To the ones who have been here since the beginning: THANK YOU 🙏

You took a chance on me when I was still figuring it out, and you gave me the confidence to keep going, to keep learning, and to believe in this more than I believed in myself at times.

Thank you, Benito.

I’ve been really quiet on here….. sharing happy moments while my own heart felt heavy and chaotic just didn’t feel honest.

But last night, something shifted. I felt healed, hopeful, and so uplifted along with probably millions of others.

The message was received loud and clear:
choosing love, always. ❤️

I deserve it. My kids deserve it. The world deserves it.
And February feels like the perfect time to begin again….
So we’re celebrating all the love ❤️
