Although we are away on vacation, our hearts are very much at home. 💜
What happened in our community yesterday is something no family, child, teacher, or community should ever have to experience. Our hearts are with everyone who has been affected.
But even in one of the darkest moments, we have been reminded of just how special our community truly is.
We’ve watched people immediately step up to help one another — counselors offering free support to children and adults, businesses and community members asking what they can do, neighbors checking on neighbors, and so many people simply offering a safe place, a listening ear, or a helping hand.
We are incredibly grateful for the quick actions of our first responders, school staff, and law enforcement, as well as those who came from surrounding communities and from far away to lend a hand when we needed it most.
There is so much hurt right now, but there is also so much love.
In the darkest of times, there can still be light — and over the last 24 hours, that light has been the way this community has rallied around one another.
We are so proud to call this community home. 💜
