Holly Rosebrugh Photography Hi! I'm Holly! :)

I am full time photographer based out of Sterling, Michigan. The most important thing to me is treating everyone like family.

Growing up with 4 sisters under one household has given me so much perspective on how to handle all of life’s chaotic moments. Without them I would not have the ability to connect with all my clients on such a personal level. At home I have a wonderful family that has supported me in pursuing my dreams to become a photographer. Between my goofy husband Ethan, lazy but somehow distracting bulldog C

hubbz, and my crafty cat Tyga, life is never dull and full of inspiration. Like I always do with the people I love, I promise to give you the moments that are worth remembering with the ones you love.

Lauren & Brandon at Tawas Point 🤍

Last year, I photographed their engagement session. This year, we're at Tawas Point State Park welcoming their sweetest new chapter yet. Same easy love, same soft way they look at each other, just with a little one on the way now.

Getting to watch a couple's story grow session by session is one of the parts of this job I never take for granted. And next year, I get to capture their wedding too.

Lauren, Brandon, I'm so glad I get to keep telling your story. ♥️

Fierce in a bodysuit. Powerful in a blazer. Same woman, same energy. ⚡

Colette has trusted me with her camera time for years now, and every single session she shows up ready to work. This one gave us both sides: raw fitness strength and polished professional presence, shot right here in Lansing.

This is why I love long-term clients. You get to capture the full range, not just one version of who they are.

Mr. & Mrs. Minor 🤍

Callie and James found each other, and somehow the universe said "not done yet" and gave them two of the coolest little boys too.

There's a moment from this day I haven't stopped thinking about. Callie gave James a bracelet engraved with his late mom's actual handwriting. A woman who couldn't be there to see her son get married, but who was there anyway, wrapped right around his wrist while he said his vows.

Speaking of those vows, they kept them just between the two of them. Private, intimate, theirs. And as if this season of life wasn't already full enough, they built a house this year and moved in the very next day after their wedding.

New house. New chapter. Just getting started.

Happy Labor Day! I hope you all had a great weekend surrounded by loved ones. 🍂 I am beyond grateful for the slower pace, the time with family, and honestly... unplugging from my inbox for a few days.

If you messaged me over the weekend, I see you and I'll be replying starting tomorrow!

And I am so excited to be gearing up for fall sessions. Golden light, cozy layers, that Northern Michigan color change we all wait for all year... fall sessions are some of my favorites to shoot. Senior sessions, family photos, engagement sessions, all of it.

If you are thinking about getting on my schedule, please reach out asap, I am now booking into November. If I get any cancellations they will be posted here first. 🫶🏼

Golden hour on the beach with Lauren & Brandon and I am still thinking about how this session ended 🤍

We started with all the sweet, easy moments you'd expect, hands intertwined, foreheads together, that late summer light doing all the work for us. And then somewhere between posing and just being together, the shoes came off and the splashing started.

Lauren went in fully clothed. Brandon didn't hesitate to follow. What could've been a "oh no, let's fix this" moment turned into pure, unscripted joy. They just embraced it, laughing so hard, and ended up sitting right there in the shallow water like it was the plan all along. Sometimes best moments are never the ones we plan for.

Congratulations on your engagement, Lauren & Brandon. I can't wait for the wedding!! 🌊✨

Erika & Hudson wanted their couples session to feel like them, so we didn't pick just one spot, we told the whole story.

We started on their own property, where they're building their future home. No walls up yet, just dirt work and downed trees and a whole lot of "just wait until you see this place finished." Honestly, there was something so special about photographing them right there in the mess of it all, because that's real life. That's the beginning.

Then we headed to one of my favorite local spots, tucked under the willows next to the creek, for that soft, dreamy, straight-out-of-a-storybook feel.

Two totally different backdrops, one couple who felt completely like themselves in both. 🤍

Colin's the kind of kid who just wants to get in, get it done, and get back to what he actually loves. So that's what we did. One location, quick and easy, with some woodsy shots mixed in with a few track moments because that's where he's really himself. 🏃‍♂️

Not every senior wants a big production, and that's okay! Sometimes short, sweet, and one location is perfect. Congrats, Colin!

It had been three years since I last had the Rachow family in front of my camera, and this beach session was such a good reminder of why I love this job. Three years feels like nothing until you're standing there watching kids who used to be knee-high suddenly looking like whole different people. 😭

Grateful this family keeps coming back and letting me capture these seasons of their life, sandy toes and all.

Braylynn's senior session took us to two places that tell her story just right, an old row boat tucked into the lily pads on her family's water, and the track at her high school.

We started out on the water, this old row boat sitting right in the middle of the lily pads. Just quiet water, soft light, and a girl who's about to close one really good chapter.

Then we headed to the track, because senior year isn't senior year without a nod to where she's put in the work. Those same lanes she's run a hundred times, about to become memories instead of practice.

Braylynn, getting to capture you in the spots that actually mean something was such a good time. So excited to watch what's next for you 🤍

There's something about photographing Sydney & Cole that hits different for me. I've been behind the lens for this love story since the very beginning, back when it was just the two of them figuring things out. Now here we are, cameras out on the family farm, their boys running around the same land, and I'm sitting here overwhelmed by how much has bloomed since day one 🤍

I got to capture them falling in love. I got to capture them becoming a family. And now I get the honor of capturing them saying "I do."

Some clients become part of your story too. Sydney and Cole, watching your life unfold through my lens has been one of the greatest gifts of doing this work. Here's to capturing many more of your special moments throughout your lives together.
