In 2017, I started Simply Jay Photography. At the time, I never knew how much it would change my life, how many people I would meet, and how much I would love what I did. I sat with clients on their worst days, saying goodbye to beloved pets; I was there on their happiest days, like saying "I do" or welcoming their baby into the world. I sat with women who told themselves the harshest things, only for them to say, "Oh my god, that's me?!" I watched their confidence change little by little.
I grew a group of women who were there for each other and so uplifting. I have traveled around the United States just to work with people. I have seen so many beautiful places that I otherwise would have never gotten to see. I have worked with over 400 families, women, new moms, couples welcoming their new ones into the world, weddings, and so many more.
So, on that note, to my Simply Jay Family, it's with a heavy heart that I announce that Simply Jay will be closing after 9 years of doing this. The decision didn't come easy, but it's what is needed. My path in life has led me onto the path I have always dreamed about since I was a little girl in 4th grade who got to play a Judge in a mock trial. Because I have always fully been transparent with you, I'll let you know what that path is. I'm a year away from going to law school. With being a mom, working full time, and going to school full time, I had to let something go so I wasn't drowning. For my loves who have weddings with me coming up, I will be finishing those out with you, but you will be the final weddings of Simply Jay, so expect my heart to be absolutely poured into you as my final goodbye to this beautiful journey. Also, be on the lookout for emails; we're getting close to your dates!
I will forever be grateful for your support and for giving me the most exciting 9 years. With that, Simply Jay has ran her course. Thank you, and I love you all.
