It was such a pleasure to work with all our mini session families this year!
Thank you to the sixteen families who spent their weekend afternoons with us this season- it's an honor to to capture you all at this stage in our lives. It's been a tough year for everyone, but we've found beauty in your families, joy in your smiles, and we loved getting to witness the individualism in each family!

The pandemic has changed many aspects of our everyday life, and it's also changing big plans for the future.

Reunions are canceled, weddings are postponed, and for some people, hope is elusive. Hang in there, friends. Better times are ahead, and we are proving adaptable. I'm inspired by the creativity demonstrated by our peers in finding new ways to spark joy and create beauty in the midst of these challenges.

We've gotten used to wearing masks while working, doing more outdoor shoots, and we've had lots of events reschedule or cancel, understandably. We've poured our time into hopeful projects like The Tulip Project and The Wisconsin Autumn Leaves Project, and found ways to connect with friends through Zoom cocktail hours and Houseparty virtual game sessions.

These changes have made the in-person work we do feel even more special, as we are incredibly honored to join small groups of people and little gatherings of friends to document momentous moments in creative ways. Absence does make the heart grow fonder, and the return to capturing love and family feels SO remarkable and warms our hearts.

On a personal note, it's harder to hide Heidi's joyous tears when the church has 8 people instead of 250. ;)

Take a peek at this sweet family, visiting from Colorado! This smiley seven month old had a chance to meet his grandma in Wisconsin for the first time, and I'm so thankful they took a few moments with me while they were here to capture this moment in their lives.
