I grew up in the heart of Japan until I was 18 and moved to Indiana for a bachelor’s degree in computer graphics. I married my stud of a husband in 2012 and we started a fair trade and social justice company called Bound For Freedom in St. Our most recent ventures though have been adding our sweet boys, Hezekaiya and Masa to the mix. They are a blast and I would never have thought being a mom was
so fun. I am drawn to romantic, wistful, minimalistic and authentic storytelling. Whether it is through photo or video, my goal is to capture the heart. I value being a non-obtrusive photographer and videographer, I will do everything in my being to get the BEST shots of the day, but I WILL let you enjoy your guests and dance the night away. I will not stop a moment from happening in order to “get my shot” and I will not be creating an atmosphere of production, this is not a set. I strongly believe in organic moments, real happy tears and nurturing an atmosphere of peace and joy throughout your entire day. I am officially based in Southwest Michigan now, but I've traveled to NSW, Australia, the US Virgin Islands, Hawaii, the French Caribbean, Austria, Germany, Canada and all over Japan and the United States for creative work and weddings as well as several European and Southeast Asian countries for education and missional work. So airports are a familiar + comforting place and no place is too far.
