This is what I love about senior portraits - taking all the different pieces of who you are and bringing them together in one session.

For Rae, that meant her fun, red Mustang, wildflowers, and a few meaningful props that helped tell more of her story. Each brought something different to her photos and gave us the opportunity to capture so many sides of her personality.

Senior portraits don’t have to fit into one style or one idea. They can be bold in one moment, soft and beautiful in the next, and filled with little details that mean something specifically to you.

Dolly built an extraordinary life by dreaming big, staying true to herself, and having the courage to keep trying. And what a beautiful reminder she left us: you don’t have to know exactly how it will turn out before you begin.

It’s National Read a Book Day! 📚️

There’s something pretty great about getting lost in a good book - whether it’s the kind you can’t put down, one that teaches you something new, or an old favorite you’ve read more than once.

And just like a photograph can take you right back to a moment, a good book can transport you somewhere completely different without ever leaving your favorite chair.

⚾ Senior year is about celebrating who you are - and everything that helped get you here.

For Cal, baseball has been a big part of that story.

We built his senior session around his love of the game, incorporating jerseys and baseball gear from throughout the years. Each one represents a different season, team, memory and piece of the journey that brought him to senior year - which made for some seriously cool, personal images.

But senior portraits should capture more than just one side of you.

We mixed in casual outdoor photos that felt relaxed and natural, along with a few more polished looks to give Cal a gallery that feels complete - athlete, senior, and everything in between.

That’s what I love about senior sessions. We’re not just taking great photos. We’re finding ways to tell YOUR story.

🎓️enior year has a way of sneaking up on you.

One minute it feels like you have all the time in the world… and the next, graduation is suddenly on the horizon. Caps, gowns, final moments, and the realization that everything is about to change.

It’s a season filled with excitement, nostalgia, and a whole lot of feeling - whether you’re living it now (👋 hello, Class of 2027) or just starting to realize how fast it will go (looking at you, Class of 2028 👀 ).

This chapter is one you don’t forget. It deserves to be noticed, celebrated, and remembered.

There’s just something about the beach. 🌊☀️

Bare feet in the sand. Wind in your hair. The sound of the water. Golden light that somehow makes everything feel a little softer.

If you know me, you know the beach is one of my favorite places to be - so getting to combine a place I love with photographing the people and moments that matter? Even better.

Beach sessions have a way of bringing out the relaxed, playful, completely-yourself moments that I love to capture. Whether it’s senior portraits, family memories, a milestone worth celebrating, or simply documenting this season of life, the beach makes a pretty incredible backdrop.

Don’t measure your success using someone else’s ruler.

It’s so easy to look around and wonder if you’re doing enough, moving fast enough, or accomplishing what you “should” by now.

But your life isn’t meant to follow someone else’s timeline.

Define what success looks like for you, celebrate how far you’ve come, and keep building a life that feels like your own.

You might start planning your senior photos convinced you want fields and flowers… and then see an urban session you love.

You might have the perfect outfit picked out for months, only to find something else that feels even more like you. Or you might arrive with one idea in mind and discover something completely different once we get started.

You’re allowed to change your mind.

Planning your senior portraits isn’t about locking yourself into one look or one idea. It’s about creating a session that reflects who you are - and sometimes figuring out what that looks like is part of the fun.

We’ll plan together, adjust when we need to, and make sure the end result feels like *you*.

Because your senior session doesn’t have to follow a perfect plan to turn out perfectly yours.

Studio Secret

I rarely stay in one spot for long.

During your session, you might notice me take a few photos, move a couple of steps, change my angle, crouch down, or suddenly ask you to turn just a little.

There’s a reason for all of it.

Sometimes moving just a few feet changes the light completely. Other times, I’ve spotted a better background, an interesting angle, or a perspective that gives us something entirely different without ever changing locations.

I’m always looking for those little opportunities to create more variety and make the most of every setting we’re in.

So if you see me moving around a lot during your session, don’t worry - you stay right where you are.

I’m just finding another way to make you look amazing. ✨
