Kevin’s great-grandmother, Hazel Salmi, was instrumental in establishing the Richmond Art Center 90 years ago, so last Saturday’s 90th birthday celebration at the center was an especially meaningful day for his family.

It was wonderful to see Hazel’s artwork, her original artist’s palette and supplies, and even her words displayed as part of the celebration. One of her quotes seemed especially fitting:

“One person contributes, then another, and another. They are all building blocks to the same thing.”

Even more special was being there with four generations of Hazel’s descendants. Kevin’s granddaughter is Hazel’s great-great-great-granddaughter, making it pretty amazing to watch her explore and enjoy the Art Center her ancestor helped create nearly a century ago.

A very special celebration of art, family, and a legacy that continues through the generations.

We are seeing more articles like this lately: AI-generated images are turning off customers and turning businesses into a punchline.

Food, products, buildings — if it’s inaccurate, cartoonish, or simply “off,” people notice. The human eye is remarkably good at spotting the details in things we see every day.

And it’s not just a vibes problem — misleading AI images can run afoul of real false advertising laws.

Real photos = real trust = customers who come back.

We’re excited to share a look at the photography for the cover story of the newest issue of HERLIFE Magazine Central Valley!

This month, Kevin had the pleasure of photographing Lizeth Granados, Chief Executive Officer of Health Plan of San Joaquin, for the September cover and feature, “Caring Hearts as a Catalyst for Change.”

The cover and feature images capture Lizeth’s warmth and approachable personality, along with the confidence and leadership she brings to an organization that has been serving our community for 30 years.
