What I’d tell someone who’s on the fence about booking a fall session…

Your kids don’t have to behave perfectly.

Actually… please don’t wait for that. 😂

Kids are kids. They get distracted. They get silly. They sometimes decide the exact moment we start taking pictures is the perfect time to run in the opposite direction.

That’s okay.

I’m not expecting everyone to stand perfectly still and smile for an hour. Some of my favorite images happen in between the “look at me” moments.

And the price?

I know $300 or $450 is an investment.

But I also know how easy it is to keep saying, “Maybe next year.”

And then another year passes.

Another shoe size.
Another missing tooth.
Another birthday.
Another season where they looked exactly like this.

You don’t have to wait until your family is perfectly dressed, perfectly behaved, or perfectly put together.

You just have to decide that this version of your family is worth remembering.

Because one day, you’re going to look back at these photos and the things you worried about that day probably won’t matter anymore.

You’ll just see them.

And I think that’s worth something.

Your photos do NOT have to go on social media. ❤️

I know for some people, this is one of the things that makes them hesitate to book a photography session.

Maybe you’re private.
Maybe you don’t want your kids’ faces online.
Maybe you just don’t want your personal memories shared publicly.

That is completely okay.

Your photos are first and foremost for you.

For your walls.
For your albums.
For the photo you print and find yourself staring at years from now.
For remembering exactly how little they were, how they laughed, how they held your hand, and what this season of your life felt like.

I absolutely love sharing the magic that happens during my sessions. I love showing you what we created and letting other families see what a session with me can look like.

But I will always ask first.

And whatever you decide, I respect it.

You never have to feel like booking a session means agreeing to have your family on my social media.

Your memories belong to you.
And if you want to keep them just for your family, I’m completely okay with that. ❤️

Some people have a way of reminding you what really matters.

My friend is one of those people.

She’s an artist. A creative. A genuinely beautiful human. And someone who has this incredible ability to find joy, beauty, and something to be grateful for in the middle of life’s messiness.

I’ve watched her choose positivity when it would be easier not to.

Choose creativity.

Choose laughter.

Choose to keep making beautiful things.

And somehow, she never makes any of it feel forced. It’s just who she is.

She has a way of looking at life that makes you slow down and appreciate the little things a little more.

So when I had the chance to photograph her, I wanted these images to feel like her.

Strong.
Creative.
Playful.
Beautiful.
Completely herself.

Because sometimes the people who inspire us most aren’t the ones standing on a stage telling us how to live.

They’re the ones quietly living it.

And I’m really grateful I get to call this woman my friend. 🤍

I hope these photos remind her of what I see when I look at her — someone incredibly special, with so much light in her.

The photo you booked the session for…

You know the one.

Everyone looking at the camera.
Everyone smiling.
Everyone cooperating for approximately 4.7 seconds. 😂

YES — we’re getting that photo. Because I know you want the one where everyone is together, looking at the camera, and nobody is missing.

But then there’s the photo you didn’t know you needed.

The one where your big sister is making the baby laugh.
The one where they’re snuggled up a little closer than they normally would be.
The one where they’re completely distracted by each other.

The little moments that weren’t planned.

Those are often the ones that end up meaning the most.

That’s why I don’t want you choosing between posed photos or the candid ones.

You get both.

We’ll make sure we get the classic everyone-looking-at-the-camera photo… and then I’ll give your family space to just interact, play, snuggle, laugh, and be themselves.

Because when you look back at these photos years from now, I want you to have more than a picture of what your family looked like.

I want you to remember what it felt like to be together. 🤍

And yes — you get choose from the whole gallery. The portraits you came for AND the unexpected favorites you didn’t even know were happening.
