I have had a love for the arts for as long as I can remember. Whether I had a paintbrush, a pencil, clay or a camera in hand, attention to detail was my biggest concern. As a child I would often lock myself in my room working on an art project for hours, refusing to come out or let anyone see my work until I felt it was perfect. That dedication and attention to detail is still just as strong today
. I began taking photographs at a young age with my family’s small point-and-shoot camera. Those early photographs may not have been works of art, but they gave me a taste for photography and the beauty that comes with capturing a moment in time. The moment I took my first photo on my DSLR as a teenager I was hooked. When I adopted my first dog, I knew I finally had a willing subject. My golden retriever, and later my shih tzu, became the driving forces in my desire to further explore photography and enhance my skills. Documenting our adventures, milestones, and lives over the years became a passion project. I have since volunteered to photograph adoptable dogs at local animal shelters and gain more experience. More recent projects have included engagement photo shoots, as well as photographing products for small businesses. I strive to preserve not only the look of a moment, but the feeling. My strengths lie in my attention to detail and creative eye. I am continually working to grow as a photographer and will work to ensure your vision becomes a reality.
