The Legacy of our Craft
I cannot take credit for writing this. I hope we never live to see the day when this no longer exists. Many years from now... some little girl will find an actual wedding album created by a master and as she and her friend open it and blow off the dust, they will be stunned by the beauty, the details, and the emotions that were captured. The highlights in the gown will be alive in all their glory and every thread, bead and sequin will sparkle in great exposure and tonal range. The faces of the bride and groom will show every bit of real skin and eye detail, with nothing blown out by sun streaks. The children will be amazed, having never seen anything like this in their lives and run to their mom to inquire. Their mom will sigh, and say, yes children, once upon a time there were people actually trained by true professionals. Actual craftsman who could create this kind of imagery. Look at this page for example, it not only shows the details, it shows how they felt about each other. Some folks thought it was expensive, but now that it no longer exists, some of us realize that it was not expensive. It was priceless. Hey FB friends, if you need pictures taken Denise is the person to call. She is such a wonderful person to work with. Denise will take her time working with you to capture that one great picture of a life time.

Join me in celebrating the Central High School Boys Basketball Team Central. (21-6) They advanced to the 2026 VHSL Class 2 Boys Basketball State Championship after defeating Thomas Jefferson 55-51 in the state semifinals on March 6, 2026.

They will face Graham High School in the state final on March 13, 2026, at VCU, marking their first appearance in the final since 1980.

Your community is proud of you. Bring that State Trophy Home to Shenandoah County!

Our Rams are coming home, and there will be a parade through town to welcome them back!

β€’ The team will meet at the New Market Fire Department
β€’ They will travel north on Route 11 through Shenandoah County into Strasburg
β€’ Buses are loading now and expected to depart around 3:00 p.m.
β€’ Estimated arrival in New Market is around 5:00 p.m.
β€’ Estimated arrival in Strasburg is approximately 5:30 p.m.

Please note, the team will not be stopping for food along the way.

Grab your purple, bring your signs, and come out to cheer them home. Let’s show our Rams how proud Strasburg and Shenandoah County are of them!

It’s a big day for the Rams as they head to Salem Stadium for an 11:30 AM kickoff in the Class 2 State Championship matchup against Glenvar. Let’s pack the stands and show off that purple pride! πŸ’œ

Best of luck to our football team as they compete for a state title!

β€’ Clear bag policy is in effect at Salem Stadium. Stadium seats and blankets are allowed but must be opened at entry.
