My very first cake smash 11 years ago vs. my most recent cake smash session. š„¹
Itās honestly a little surreal to look at these two images side by side.
If you would have told that girl 11 years ago that one day sheād have a business built around capturing these sweet little milestones, I never would have believed you.
Somehow, somewhere along the way, cake smash sessions became so much more than just another type of session I offered. They became one of my absolute favorite things to photograph.
I love the messy hands. The tiny giggles. The big personalities. The cakes that get completely destroyed. The ideas parents bring to me and the process of turning those ideas into something theyāll have forever.
But more than anything, I love that I get to freeze this little piece of childhood in time for families.
I am so incredibly grateful for every single family who has trusted me over the years. Thank you for trusting me with your babies, your memories, your visions, and sometimes a very questionable amount of cake. š
Looking at where I started and where I am now makes me incredibly proud, but mostly, it makes me incredibly grateful.
