Yesterday the NE VCOA ( New England Chapter of Volvo Club of America) toured Dragone Classic Motor Cars in Orange, CT. Dragone buys, sell and restores vehicle's from the earliest to the 60's and 70"s?
George Dragone gives the tours and shares his encyclopedic knowledge of each car's history along with his memories of the automotive hunt for the cars.
VCOA is an organization dedicated to preserving the Volvo marque and it's rich history. The NE chapter promotes the club in NE with events like the Dragone tour. car shows and is a great repository where to get what for your Volvo vehicle.

Last Wednesday evening FELO hosted a St Paddy's Day Party at new Fairfield Chamber members Elicit Brewing. The building on Black Rock Turnpike has been several different businesses but I think they may have gotten the right combo this time. The interior is very nice and the beer is tasty. Conversation flowed and no one was left out that I could see. Here are the images.

Today was interesting. I was planning to photograph a ribbon cutting at El Cafecito Deli which is located in Oronoque Plaza across from the Stratford Sikorsky plant. I arrived just before 4 PM, walked in and met Marco Rojas the husband of Glexy Solano. Glexy and her sister are Lory are the owners of El Cafecito Deli. Marco told me they had just heard from the Mayor's office that due to the continuing situation there was going to be a press conference thus no ribbon cutting. Marco and the ladies offered me some of their food and who am I to refuse an offering of El Salvadorian delicacies. Pupusas de Queso are delicious. Meet the family, try their food and you'll be delighted.

"Found out last week that Milford Photo is a Tether Tools dealer. If you're shooting tethered there is no one who makes better cables and accessories than Tether Tools...and they're as close as Milford Photo. While they're definitely not the least expensive cables, they are the BEST!! Tether also makes Jerk Stopper which can save a lot of heartache when it comes to cables getting pulled out thus not capturing an image. Next time you need a totally reliable cable, go to Milford Photo and get Tether tools cables and accessories."

55 Wine Bar & Grille in Fairfield was the location for Fairfield Chamber of Commerce to hold the first Business After Hours of 2020. The food was just delicious as was the wine and the attendees certainly seemed to enjoy themselves. Just to celebrate 55 Wine Bar & Grille gave the Chamber 20 $20 Gift Certificates for door prizes. I was a winner and I'll be sure to put the gift certificate to good use soon.

Found out last week that Milford Photo is a Tether Tools dealer. Last Friday afternoon the ribbon was cut on a new Stratford restaurant. The Stratford Economic Development Department under the guidance of Mary Dean and her Staff, Mayor Hoydick, and The Stratford Chamber of Commerce welcomed La Fortuna to the shopping center up the hill from Sikorsky's main plant. This location has seen more than one restaurant but none so beautifully done. We were treated to pasta made on the premises, pizza from a wood burning oven and more different dishes than I can count. The food and drink were great! The new friends we met were warm and welcoming what more can you ask for?

Last night the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce held a Business After Hours networking event at Geronimo in Fairfield. The people and the food were simply SUPER! I like people as you may have gathered by now and I love Mexican or Southwest food. Well I was most happy on both counts and from what I saw and heard, everyone else was enjoying themselves. So if you missed last night...you missed a great time!

If the Westport PD doesn't have a BOLO out on this gang of desperados...it's only a matter of time! There are more to desperados out there, they just weren't at this gathering. Mob bosses were nothing compared this bunch!
