You don’t need a blazing sunset to create beautiful beach portraits. ❤️ A misty morning on the beach brought its own kind of magic for this family’s combination 10th anniversary and family portrait session. The soft, diffused light gave us a beautiful backdrop and plenty of time to walk the beach, explore the sand, make a few discoveries - and even sneak in a little dancing along the shoreline.

Different light, different mood, but every bit as beautiful.

And while summer may be winding down, one of the very best times of year for beach portraits is still ahead! September brings beautiful light, warm weather, quieter beaches and gorgeous sunsets. Twelve people. Five kids. Multiple families. And somehow, we got everyone looking in the same direction… at least a few times. 😂📸 This was just a fun session! Lots of laughs, plenty of personality, kids being kids, and a family that clearly enjoys being together on a beautiful evening on the beach! We got the big group, the little groups, the posed ones and, of course, some of my favorites… the moments in between. Exactly the kind of beautiful beach chaos I love to capture. ❤️🌊

Family photos… but make it fun. ❤️ With two little boys, standing still and smiling at the camera was never really the plan — and that’s exactly what made this session so much fun.

Running, laughing, swinging, hugging Mom and Dad, and just being themselves on a gorgeous summer evening. We got the posed portraits too, of course, but sometimes the shots that say the most about a family are the ones that happen in between.

Five kids under five. 😅❤️

A little bit of chaos, a lot of laughter, and memories they'll treasure forever. Somehow, in the middle of all that wonderful chaos, we created a gallery full of beautiful moments this family will look back on for years to come.
