I think people see sh***ri and immediately make it sexual, but I’m way more interested in what it can do for women mentally.

There are women using rope to work through trust, control, vulnerability, body image, and just being comfortable taking up space in their own skin.

And I fu***ng love photographing that.

Women finding weird, unconventional ways to know themselves better will always have a place in my studio.

It doesn’t have to make sense to everybody else.

I really don’t think we ever figure out who the f**k we are.

And I actually don’t think we’re supposed to.

I’ve already been so many different versions of myself. I’ve wanted s**t I don’t want anymore. I’ve cared about things I couldn’t give two f**ks about now. I’ve made decisions that make perfect sense to me now and some that make me go… what the f**k, girl.

But whatever. That was me then.

And I’m sure five years from now I’ll look back at this version of me and have some s**t to say about her too.

I hope so.

I hope I’m 50 doing s**t 40-year-old me never saw coming. I hope I’m 70 changing my mind again. I hope there are versions of me I haven’t even fu***ng thought of yet.

Because the saddest thing I can think of isn’t getting older.

It’s getting older and realizing I stopped becoming myself somewhere along the way bc other people had opinions about her.

Somebody thinks you’re a bitch. Somebody thinks you’re too loud. Somebody doesn’t like how you dress, who you f**k, how you parent, what you post, how you make your money.

Okay.

There’s something really freeing about realizing people’s opinions of you don’t actually require a response.

I’m putting together a tattoo-focused shoot at the studio and I want ALL OF YOU.

All shapes. All sizes. All skin tones. All levels of heavily tattooed badassery. Trans women are women and are absolutely invited. 🖤

You do not need a “model body.” You do not need modeling experience. You just need to be extremely comfortable being photographed, showing some skin, and letting your tattoos take center stage.
