NOW HIRING!

I'm taking applications for a photography assistant for the 2026 summer season. I'm looking for someone to help with sessions, weddings, etc.

Unlike recent job listings I've posted, this is a PART-TIME position. My goal is to have 2-3 people who can take on sessions that fit with their current summer work schedule. So hours can be flexible!

No experience necessary, but the ideal candidate will have an interest in photography. Perhaps a photography student, or someone looking to get in to photography themselves. This will give you a behind the scenes view of what it's like to work on real photography sessions.

I'll be scheduling interviews over the next couple of weeks, so if you or someone you know might be interested check out the full posting.

Summer is right around the corner so that means it's time to start thinking about senior pictures. Door County is an amazing place for senior photos with so many great photo opportunities to choose from including all the parks, beaches, marinas, forests, and of course flower fields!

Christmas season is in full swing in Door County! The Christkindlmarkt has begun, and by the way, a movie about Christmas in Door County was recently released!

This movie, directed by John Stimpson and starring Katie Leclair and Ryan Carnes, follows a story of a gourmet pastry chef who returns home for the holiday.

I’ll leave the description there as not to give away anything if you haven’t seen it.

The movie was filmed and is set in Door County and features many local locations and even local people!

I was fortunate enough to be the stills photographer / Drone Op for the movie. You can see several of my sweeping aerial shots throughout the movie! I was able to watch from behind the scenes as the movie was made and captured quite a few shots during my time on set.

Maria and Mitchell had a wonderful wedding day!

The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Parish in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and it was a beautiful ceremony.

We were able to get some really cool shots using the front of the church as a backdrop. We also got a really cool flash photo using church’s awesome symmetry as a setting!

After photos at the church, everyone gathered at Mitchell’s family’s land. It was an old quarry that was totally tranformed by his grandfather in to a absolutely beautiful place! It served as a setting for a few more photos, of course.

The evening started with a lively cocktail hour. When the carting arrived, everyone gathered in the tent for dinner and speeches. There were many laughs, expecially for Maria’s Dad’s speech! And some tears for some very heartfelt moments.

Now it was time to party! The first dance was incredible! Mitchell used his swing dancing skills to put on a show, even flipping Maria upside down!

The party was capped off with a great fireworks show over the lake!

It was an incredible day! Congratulations Maria and Mitchell!!

Megan and Matt’s recent wedding at the Bridgewood Resort in Neenah, WI was a great day!

Sprits were very high as the couple enjoyed the company of their wedding party as they got ready separately in preparation for their first look. There were a couple really great first looks, actually. The first was with Megan’s bridesmaids. The second was with the groomsmen, who were quickly “iced”! Finally, the couple got to enjoy a first look with each other and do a quiet and private vow reading before the ceremony.

The ceremony was awesome! Megan’s uncle expertly officiated and did an amazing job! There were defintiely a lot of smiles, and a few tears of happiness.

After the ceremony, everyone headed inside for cocktail hour and dinner. and a few heartwarming speeches finished off the dinner hour.

Finally, it was time to dance! Extreme Entertainment had the dance floor going strong!

It was an amazing day for a really great couple! Congrats again to Megan and Matt!
