One of my favorite "sit down and shut up" spots. 😂

This boardwalk at Cullinan Park isn't known for perfect backgrounds, but if you park yourself for a while, the birds eventually decide you're just another weird-looking tree.

That's when the fun starts—calling, preening, stretching, and all the little moments that are easy to miss when you're chasing the next species.

This young Yellow-crowned Night Heron gave me a front-row seat.

Sometimes the best wildlife photography comes from doing absolutely nothing.
