hey all!
there's a lot to catch up on!

first, yes I'm still photographing...a lot!

second, the husband and I have a sustainable, all natural skin care business selling handmade soaps/beard products/skin products. Our final show will be at Tuscan Hills Winery for Vines, Vendors & Vixens III this Saturday!

Last Saturday, we packaged up some of our own seeds and made a trip to Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library in Sullivan to make a drop off.
The library has started their very own self-sustaining seed library, which individuals can come in, fill out a quick form and start browsing their very impressive collection of prepackaged, non-GMO seed packets.
The real fun begins when you get home with the new seeds and begin the process of growing your own food and/or flowers.
At the end of the growing season, you allow the plants to go to seed and return the "checked out" seeds back to the library.

This program is a real treasure within a small community like Sullivan. It encourages learning from the ground up and supports a easy, sustainable process that is important in today's world.

The library is taking non-GMO donations.
I want to encourage others to stop by and check this out...literally!

I found The Factory Art Studios in Sullivan fresh out of college. I found it in a time I needed it the most. It was an outlet for me that allowed me to keep on a path with my photography. I felt free to express myself artistically, explore new mediums and continue expanding my work. I felt part of something unique alongside other talented individuals.
After the closing of The Factory, I followed on to Tuscola with the hope of helping to rebuild a similar outlet for all artists within The Vault Arts Collective. John dedicated so much towards this development that blossomed into a driving force of artists within the community. As a fellow artist, I want to continue that and continue this growing movement of artists for artists.
The fact is, The Vault is still here. Artists are still here. Instead of listening to these rants from other artists who have chosen to leave, listen to this.... We, as the remaining collective are here for the purpose of continuing on and being that artistic outlet for other artists in the community. We, as few as we are now, have chosen to pick up and carry on.

You know what they say...it isn't over till it's over.

I just dropped off a whole car trunk worth of photographic work. Darkroom, color darkroom, studio, travel and freelance work from all the years I've had a camera in hand.

Hello all!

I've been away for quite a while, because I've been putting in a lot of time and resources creating a new business along side my husband. For a long time now, we've believed one of the most important things in our life together is creating things for ourselves. From the food we eat to what we put on our skin, all must be taken into account if we want to live a full and healthy life. (we are taking back the power so to speak)
We create our own natural/sustainable/vegan/cruelty free/chemical free and synthetic ingredient free soaps, skin care products and candles. While we are very excited and thrilled with the support thus far, we need assistance getting the word out to others.

We are selling most of our products at The Vault Arts Collective in downtown Tuscola! Check this place out!

A while back, the husband and I found where the two historic Amish homes had been placed. It had been a gloomy, rainy day, but that's never stopped us from doing anything in the past. As we got over to the houses the clouds parted for a short time allowing the sun to shine and a rainbow to appear.
