I’m working my butt off today to catch up and edit everyone’s session from last week! Been working with a new program and editing a bit differently than I normally do so it’s taking me a bit longer to get through each gallery as I perfect each image!

I’m always so curious what people actually think about me when they only know me through social media… 😂

Like, what’s the version of Demi that exists in your head from seeing my posts, stories, photography, random life updates, and everything in between?

And then I wonder how different that version is from the person you meet when we actually sit down and talk. 😂

Do I come across how you expected me to?
Was I completely different than you imagined?
Did you think I was intimidating and then realize I’m actually a whole yapper? 😂

Or maybe the opposite?

✨ HELLO, NEW FRIENDS! ✨

I figured with all the new faces around here, it was probably time to redo a little “About Me” and properly introduce myself. So hi! 👋🏻 I’m Demi, your SWLA photographer and the face behind Wildsage & Honey Co. 📸🤎

If you’re new here, welcome! Around here you’ll find a little bit of everything: weddings, couples, bo***ir, maternity, newborns, families, seniors, creative sessions, and all the weird, beautiful, perfectly imperfect moments in between.

My photography is very much storytelling over perfection. I love the grain, the movement, the messy hair, the belly laughs, the quiet moments, the things that feel like a memory instead of a perfectly posed picture.

I’m a mama myself, so I know how quickly these seasons come and go. One minute you’re holding a tiny baby and the next you’re wondering how the heck they got so big. 🥹 That’s a huge part of why I photograph the way I do. I want you to have the little pieces of your life that you’ll someday miss.

I’m also a little bit of a vintage soul with a love for dark, moody, cinematic images. Think old photographs, movie stills, nostalgia, and a little bit of Southern Louisiana magic. 🕯️🌿

When I’m not behind my camera, I’m usually at home with my babies, chasing after kids, attempting to keep plants alive, rearranging something in my house for the 47th time, or dreaming up my next weird creative idea. 😂

I’m going to be completely transparent with y’all. These flash sales are going to help me finish purchasing the last few things I need to put my room together so I can start offering bo***ir sessions from home, without having to make the drive all the way to Lawtel. 🤍

☀️ Good morning, everybody!

I pulled the winner for the giveaway, and she has been tagged in the comments! 🎉🤎

A HUGE thank you to everyone who entered, shared the giveaway, tagged friends, and helped get my page in front of new people. I truly appreciate y’all more than you know! 🥹

Also, a little update for anyone waiting on a gallery or a response from me. I’m working through everything as quickly as I can! I had a small issue with my editing program earlier this week that had me fighting for my life 😂 It took me until yesterday morning to finally get everything figured out.

I’m also currently working my way through emails and texts and getting everyone responded to.

Monday was my son’s third birthday, so I took the day to celebrate him and be present with my babies instead of working. ❤️ Then Tuesday, I started my eczema shots, which completely threw my day off and put me behind a little more than expected.

I appreciate everyone’s patience while I get caught back up! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I promise I’m getting to everyone! 🤎

My room is almost officially set up and ready to start taking on clients! 🥹✨

I’m SO excited to finally have a little space of my own for bo***ir sessions for those who don’t want to drive all the way to the other studio I use. 👀🤎

Andddddd I’ll also be opening this space up for in-home lifestyle newborn sessions! 🍼✨ Think cozy, intimate, natural-light and in home feel.

I’m still putting the finishing touches on everything, but we’re getting there and I cannot WAIT to start creating in this space! 🥹📸
