Making Christmas brighter for LOCAL families! 🎅
Christmas has always been such a magical time of year, especially through the eyes of a child. But for some families, the holiday season can also bring financial stress and worry. That's where this wonderful program and the generosity of our community come together to make a difference!
❤️ WHAT IS SANTA'S HELPERS?
Santa's Helpers is a heartwarming program sponsored by Sulphur Kiwanis, with assistance from the Sulphur Chamber of Commerce.
This program helps LOCAL families in need by providing Christmas gifts, clothing, shoes, toys, and other necessities to help make Christmas morning a little brighter.
🎁 HOW DOES IT WORK?
Parents or guardians complete an application providing their children's clothing and shoe sizes, interests, wish lists, and any special needs.
With the generosity of our community, Santa's Helpers works to provide gifts and necessities for these children.
During the week of Christmas, members of our local law enforcement (police, sheriff, fire department, EMS, park service) discreetly deliver the gifts directly to the families' homes.
❤️ THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE PROGRAM!
The gifts are given to the parents, allowing THEM to experience the joy of giving to their own children.
Whether the gifts are from Mom and Dad, Santa Claus, or however their family chooses to celebrate, the children never have to know their family received assistance.
It's not just about giving gifts. It's about preserving the magic of Christmas, protecting a family's dignity, and allowing parents to see the excitement and joy on their children's faces on Christmas morning. ❤️
🎅 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
There are several ways YOU can help make Christmas magical for a local child!
🎁 SPONSOR A CHILD OR CHILDREN: Shop for Christmas gifts, clothing, shoes, and other necessities for a local child.
❤️ MAKE A MONETARY DONATION: Every dollar donated goes toward purchasing gifts and needed items for local families.
❤️ LOCAL PEOPLE HELPING LOCAL FAMILIES!
That's what makes this program so incredibly special. These aren't families somewhere far away. They are families right here in our own community. They are our neighbors, classmates, friends, and people we may see every single day.
You never know what someone may be going through, and sometimes even the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference.
My hope is that our community will come together and help make this Christmas unforgettable for as many local children as possible!
Whether you sponsor a child, make a donation, or simply share this post, YOU can be part of something truly special.
🎄❤️ Because every child deserves a little Christmas magic, and every parent deserves the joy of seeing their child's face light up on Christmas morning.
