Lyfe Photography South Carolina Portrait and wedding photographer based in Charleston and serving the surrounding area My Story began when I was high school age.

My older brother was serving in the Navy and was a photojournalist. He was the one who opened my eyes to the world of photography and I just fell in love with it. During my Junior and Senior year of high school I was on the yearbook committee. I was able to use the schools camera to take pictures for them of school and spot events. There were also times when I was allowed to take home the camera f

or the weekend. I would use that time to teach myself new photography skills and practice. Shortly after graduating high school I married the love of my life. Not long after that we were very excited to be expecting our first child. I was determined to start a photography service as soon as I saved enough money to purchase a camera of my own. The More I did my research of different cameras and their features the more I became discouraged as the prices where not in my favor. But, Who knew that a blessing was brewing. A few weeks before the arrival of our baby a very dear friend of mine wrote to me on Facebook one night. He expressed his excitement of our pregnancy, but wanted to tell me if my daughter was Born on his late wife’s Favorite day of the year which was May 17th, he would gift me $1000 to purchase my first camera. I know God was doing something in my life because on that day my daughter was born. I did not give much thought to the to the promise my friend had made, My husband and I were so very happy to meet our new baby. The next evening Him and his family came for a visit to congratulate us and right there he handed me the money. He told me to go and get the camera. I felt so blessed to have had someone bless our family with such a gift. I still remember it as if it was yesterday only this was in 2012. Since then, I have pursued my career in photography and still am till this day. I will always be grateful for the blessing we received on the day of our child’s birth
