The other day, I posted about my first puppy shoot since the surgery, and it was truly such a special experience. I shared the father of the litter, the beautiful Winston, but now it is time for the main event — the puppies.

They were absolutely adorable and incredibly photogenic. If you look closely, some of them were actually smiling and even posing for the camera. It was such a wonderful day, filled with fun, laughter, and so many great moments to capture.

A truly memorable experience, and of course, a lot of amazing pictures came out of it as well.

I am slowly getting back into a sort of “normal” life again. I still have my limitations, and of course the medical team tells me what I can and cannot do at the moment, but anything outdoors, within reason, is a good thing. I was fortunate enough to do what I love most and have my first puppy shoot since the surgery.

The puppies will be shared later, but this is their father — a pure legendary long-haired German Shepherd with an incredible German lineage. He is a descendant of many top champions and, not to offend anyone, one of the most beautiful pups I have ever seen, not to mention his incredibly friendly temperament.

I was so in love with this dog that I must have taken around 700 photos of him alone. Now I just have to narrow them down, but I think this one is my favorite.

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with a talented young man who is pursuing a career in modeling and acting. It was an honor to capture his very first photoshoot and help him take the first step on what promises to be an exciting and inspiring journey.

This past weekend, the topic came up again during a shoot: "I'm just not photogenic." At Photoshoott Photography, we don’t buy into that idea. We believe the concept of being "non-photogenic" is a myth. Sure, it might feel like a challenge at times, but it’s never the final word on how someone looks in photos. We had a client in 2023, wonderful family, they hired us to photograph their daughter for her birthday shoot and then an entire family. It was great shoot, but the edits were not picked for a while, which we just completed due to the client taking a bit of time. The client also requested double exposure of a few, but because we really liked this client, I did a bit more than a few. We are not just photographers, we are creative artists and this shows what we have done and can do. The client is over the moon pleased with the results and so are we.
