A challenging hike near Snoqualmie Pass!
Polallie Ridge Trail is a strenuous and lesser-known hike in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Cle Elum, about two hours from Seattle. Unlike many Washington hikes known for sweeping panoramic views, Polallie Ridge is more about solitude, peaceful forests, and the steady challenge of climbing deep into the wilderness.
We didn’t see any other hikers on the trail — only wild turkeys and grouses!

In this video, I explore some of the most breathtaking highlights, including the Five Fingers viewpoint, the Giant Ice Cave, and Mammoth Cave, along with a short hike through alpine meadows. Nestled between Lake Hallstatt and the Alps, Hallstatt feels like a postcard come to life.
I explored the charming old town — pastel houses along the shore, the historic Market Square, and peaceful lakeside views.
I also visited the Salt Mine high above the village and stopped at the Skywalk for breathtaking views over the lake.
Along the way, I wandered up narrow stairways into the upper village, searching for hidden corners and quiet moments.
And at the end, I’ll show you around Pension Sarstein — my cozy lakeside base during my stay in Hallstatt.

Surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks, Werfen sits in the heart of the Salzach Valley, just south of Salzburg—only about an hour away by train. This picturesque Austrian village is home to the striking Hohenwerfen Castle, Eisriesenwelt, the world’s largest ice cave, and a famous filming location from The Sound of Music.
In this video, I spent one full day in Werfen, exploring the charming village center, visiting the medieval castle, venturing deep into the ice cave, and hiking along The Sound of Music Trail. To wrap up, I’ll also show Werfenerhof Inn, where I stayed for two nights during my time in Werfen.

Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most iconic castles in the world, located in Bavaria, Germany, near the town of Füssen. After many years of dreaming about this moment, I finally had the opportunity to visit Neuschwanstein Castle and the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle.
I also hiked along the stunning Alpsee Lake below the castles, once a playground of the Bavarian royal family, and took a cable car up Tegelberg Mountain in the Bavarian Alps. While the castles were truly magnificent, it was the breathtaking beauty of the Bavarian Alps and the serene lake that captured my heart even more.

Füssen is a charming town in southwestern Bavaria, Germany, near the Austrian border.
Nestled at the foot of the Alps, it’s best known as the gateway to Neuschwanstein Castle —one of Germany’s most iconic landmarks.
Füssen’s Old Town is a delight to explore, with medieval streets, traditional Bavarian architecture, and cozy shops, cafés, and restaurants.
In this video, I’ll walk through the old town, visit its major sights includes St. Mang’s Abbey, the High Castle, L**h River & Falls, and enjoy some of the most beautiful views around the town.
Füssen’s magic really begins at sunset. I return to the river just to see the sunset.
The mountains catch the last light of day, and the warm sky shimmers on the water, holding the moment still. The old town was beautifully illuminated in the evening.
At the end, I’ll show you the budget friendly hotel, House LA Neuschwanstein Blick—my base for four nights.

Experience Mt Rainier National Park in winter on a peaceful snow hike from Narada Falls to Reflection Lakes. This 4.4-mile loop begins at Narada Falls and gradually climbs through a dense forest. Hard to believe, but it’s mid-January—and the falls are still flowing.
Even with snow on the ground, the trail feels almost like spring at first. As we reach Reflection Lakes, winter truly sets in, and the lake is frozen. I’ve visited this area many times in summer, when it’s usually busy with traffic, but Mt Rainier National Park in winter feels entirely different—quiet, serene, and beautifully still.
On the way back, we hiked part of the Wonderland Trail. Surprisingly, the trail leads us just below Narada Falls, where sunshine fills the air and a rainbow forms over the cascading water.

El Chaltén sits at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy and is known as the trekking capital of Argentina. It's located in southern Patagonia within Los Glaciares National Park. The town has a relaxed yet adventurous vibe — hikers everywhere, incredible Fitz Roy views, and a friendly energy that makes the whole place feel alive.
In the first part of the video, I walk through the main area of the village, exploring its vibrant restaurants, cafés, breweries, outdoor gear shops, and the local grocery store, all the way to the north end, where the famous Fitz Roy trail begins.
In the second part, I explore some hidden gems of El Chaltén — a hillside lookout, a small lake, and the trailhead to Laguna Torre. Fitz Roy views appear throughout the village, and you won’t want to miss the spectacular sunrise and sunset over the peaks.
To finish, I shared a short tour of Condor de los Andes Hostel, my base during my five nights in El Chaltén.

El Calafate, Argentina, is a charming Patagonian town famous for its proximity to the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. Nestled near Los Glaciares National Park, this picturesque town offers a unique blend of rustic charm and vibrant tourism.
Take a stroll through El Calafate’s compact town center, where you’ll experience a mixture of small-town Patagonia warmth and lively activity. Don’t miss the Artisanal Market, where you can shop for locally crafted goods inspired by Patagonia’s rich culture and stunning natural landscapes.
One of my favorite spots in El Calafate is the Intendencia del Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. This visitor and administrative center offers fascinating insights into the region’s history and wildlife. Surrounding the center, you’ll find a peaceful garden and scenic walking paths, including an informative interpretive trail for nature lovers.
