šŸŽ¶ Can walls have rhythm?

When you think of "rhythm," music might come to mindā€”but did you know it also applies to art and how you arrange it in your space?

In design, rhythm means the repetition of visual elements to create a sense of consistency. It guides the eye through art and your home, sometimes even on a subconscious level, making a space feel cohesive and welcoming.

It can be a tricky balance to master, but when done right, it adds flow and harmony to any room.

"Ascensor da Bica 1ā€

Built in 1888 as part of the Lisbon tram network, the Ascensor da Bica funicular connects the Tagus riverfront with the Pombaline downtown area. The bars and eateries that line the track are popular hangouts, especially after work. Lisbon, Portugal, 2019

I just read an article about a boutique hotel that experimented with adding local art in it's rooms. The results were pretty amazing.

šŸØ Hotel XYZ may sound fictionalā€”but itā€™s real! This hotel hosted a study by adding the artwork of local artists throughout its rooms and even holding exhibitions of what they curated.

The result? Customer satisfaction soared, leading to more business for the hotel. Travelers loved how the art made them feel more connected, not just to the hotel, but to the local area. šŸŒ

Itā€™s a perfect example of how celebrating independent artists can elevate a space and make it truly special. Art has the power to transform, and this study proves it!
