I love people, and I love taking pictures. I have always liked taking pictures. I got my first "real" camera over a decade ago and fell in love with photography.

Many years, classes, workshops, and sessions later I enjoy it even more! I love capturing people and families and telling their stories through my images. I whole-heartedly believe that photo sessions should be a fun experience, not stressful or intimidating! Let me help you make that happen. Currently serving families, couples, kids, and newborns in the SF Bay Area, local to Santa Clara!

Things have been quiet around here lately for a variety of reasons. I will be sharing more soon, but in the meantime, I had to show off my new nephew 🥰.

I traveled to Iowa to meet this sweet baby and see my sister and family, so of course I had to do a newborn session too. Welcome to the world, Wyatt 💕.

Capturing newborns and their families at home is one of my favorite things to do. Along with snuggling babies 😉.

I meant to post this on Mother’s Day, in case anyone was wondering how on top of things I am these days 😄.

Last fall I announced I was back from maternity leave. Then I did a bunch of fall sessions and realized I wasn’t ready to give it my all. This season of life has been chaotic and overwhelming and at the same time beautiful and going way too fast. I will be the first to admit I can’t (and don’t) do it all. I really miss taking pictures and working with the best clients, but I need to take care of myself. I also always want to be sure my clients can have the best photographer version of me possible. So for now, please excuse me as I am soaking up time with my babies who are growing up way too fast and trying to juggle all the odds and ends of life.

PS: I make exceptions for dear friends (who happen to be absolutely stunning! 🤩). It’s always an honor when people I care about entrust me with some of their most important memories. And how can I say no to baby snuggles 🥰.

We welcomed this sweet girl into the world on July 6. She is absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be more in love ❤️❤️.

I often have clients that are concerned about how they are going to look in their photos. Tired eyes, wrinkles that weren't always there, unwanted curves... I get it. 100%. This pregnancy, I have majorly struggled with my body image and often feel I'm in a body I don't recognize...but it's all based on silly societal norms and lies. I can't control how you feel about what you see in your photos, but I can promise that you're beautiful. My most important advice is this: get in the photos anyway. Don't let your own insecurities stop you from capturing your current season of life. I promise you won't regret it.

There were tears shed over how I felt and what to wear for this session, but I am so so glad I did it. Both of my baby bumps have been long fought and waited for, and I know I'll be forever thankful that I have them both captured in the most beautiful way.

So thankful I met this sweet couple and that we made this session happen. You would never know, but this sweet mama-to-be contacted me and asked if we could do a maternity session ASAP and that it had to be on hospital grounds, as she was being admitted at 28 weeks pregnant and wouldn't be go home before delivering her baby which could happen at any day. As a pregnant mama myself, I couldn't imagine the situation they were dealing with and did everything I could to make this session happen. After our first planned day was rained out, we had the most beautiful weather the following day. This mama looked so beautiful, was a great sport, and we got creative at hiding her IV. The session happened just in time, because their baby girl arrived the very next day! She is a strong little NICU fighter, and I can't wait to meet her and see her parents again for a newborn session when she's home! ❤️
