A little note for the senior parents today…

Senior year sneaks up fast.

One minute they’re little, and somehow you’re planning senior photos, graduation details, college visits, and all the lasts that come with this season.

Senior photos are for them, yes — but they’re also for you.

They’re a way to pause for a minute and remember who they are right now before everything starts changing again.

It’s still summer, but fall family photo season always sneaks up faster than we think.

Class of 2027 — this is your gentle reminder that senior photo season is here. ✨

Senior sessions are some of my favorite sessions because they get to feel a little more personal. We can keep things simple and natural, choose a location that actually fits you, and plan around the things you love — whether that’s water, woods, downtown, sports, music, your dog, or just a really pretty evening.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. That’s part of what I help with.

Family photos do not have to be perfectly posed to be meaningful.

Some of my favorite images happen in the in-between — kids leaning into mom, little hands wrapped around dad’s fingers, everyone laughing because one person absolutely cannot keep a straight face.

I’ll guide you when you need it, but I also leave room for your family to just be yourselves.

One of the unexpected gifts of being a photographer is getting to watch families grow.

I've known Josh since he was a senior in high school.

Now I get the privilege of photographing him as a husband and dad.

Life moves so much faster than we realize.

It's one of the reasons I believe so deeply in family photographs.

One of the things I love most about senior sessions is choosing a location that actually feels like a good fit.

Some seniors want tall grass and golden light.
Some want downtown brick, sidewalks, and a little more edge.
Some want lake views, trees, trails, flowers, or something simple and quiet.

You do not have to know the perfect spot before you reach out. I’ll help you narrow it down based on your style, outfits, and the overall feel you want for your photos.

Senior sessions are available in Duluth, Superior, and around the Twin Ports.
