Went for a short walk just before dusk Saturday evening at Lake Conestee Nature Park with my mom before she has to fly home. A cat watched us as we made our way down the path, a daddy long legs eyed us as we crossed the bridge, a heron tried to hide in the shadows along the shoreline, and we spotted my first Barred Owl high in a tree after sunset, unable to even see his face due to the darkness of the canopy and had to keep checking each time I took a shot to see which direction he was turned. He finally swiveled toward us. A bit grainy, but not too bad. 🦉
