Today's milestone session could not have been done without chairs.

Yep. Chairs.

Sometimes the easiest way to keep a busy two-year-old in one spot long enough for a photo is to give them somewhere to sit. No elaborate tricks required.

And for the family photo at the end? Dad stepped in and held her close while everyone snuggled together. Sometimes the simplest solutions make for the sweetest images.

Today is the day!

Happy National Donut Day!

If there’s one thing I will never turn down, it’s a donut. The second someone offers me one, any shred of self-control I had disappears.

Sugar and carbs? I’m weak, and I’ve made peace with it.

No shame over here.

Fresh 48 session in a tiny hospital room, but make it feel like a studio.

Check!

One of my favorite things about Fresh 48 sessions is that they don't require a picture-perfect space. Give me a little window light, a brand-new baby, and a few feet to move around, and we're in business.

These sweet first moments are always worth documenting, no matter the size of the room.

He's our everything, and today is his birthday.

My favorite person, the world's best dad, the guy who can fix almost anything, and the one who somehow puts up with me on a daily basis.

Life is a whole lot more fun with him in it, and we love him more than he'll ever know.

The summer reading program started at our local library yesterday, and there are currently two very different approaches happening in our house.

My three girls have already logged 2–3 hours of reading each.

My son? He took one look at the whole thing and said, "Nah, I'm not doing it."

I admire the confidence, honestly.

Parents of boys... does this sound familiar, or is it just my kid?

Why is this so hard?! IYKYK 🤣

The hardest part of my job? Wrestling that dang umbrella cover.

But it’s always worth the hassle for that dreamy, studio-style light during your in-home newborn session.

Beautiful newborn photos — all from the comfort of your own living room.

No packing up, no rushing out the door, just cozy moments with your new baby.

I’d say a little umbrella wrangling is worth it!

I am all about making the furry babies feel the love too!

Sometimes they want absolutely nothing to do with me… and other times I have a full-time shadow for the entire session. Either way, I consider it a win.

Honestly, some of my favorite newborn session moments involve the family dog sneaking into every frame possible like they personally booked the session themselves.
