Extended family sessions are so special to me. There's just something about spending time with a family who are gathered from near and far. This family came together from as far away as New Mexico and Ohio, and as close as Suttons Bay. We were blessed with perfect weather, a beautiful sunset, and a lovely location.

If your family is gathering this summer, consider scheduling an extended family session to update the portraits on the wall!

~Senior Portraits~

Madison joined me for a sunset senior session last month and knocked it out of the park!

I'm now booking senior sessions for the Class of 2024. If you have a student going into their senior year, don't hesitate to schedule their senior portraits. The summer before and fall of their senior year is the best time to get portraits done, while the weather is nice and the scenery is beautiful. Message me today to start planning!

Believe it or not, a great time to do beach photos is in the fall! The beaches are so bright in the summer, and sunset is very late. It's hard to have an awesome photo session at 8:30 pm when your little one is normally in bed by 7:15! But in the fall, the beaches are less busy, the sunset is earlier (or the sunrise is later) and we often have some beautiful weather (read: not scorching hot!)

This sweet family met me on a not so beautiful weather day this fall, and we had a great mini session. The rain cleared up just in time and we got some lovely shots. Don't rule out the beach just because it isn't summer!

These sweet sisters have had several mini sessions with me, and I even did Fresh 48 newborn hospital photos for little sister! It's so fun seeing kids grow up in front of my lens! They came for my apple orchard mini sessions and we couldn't have asked for a better evening.

I haven't shot many senior sessions lately, but I do love them. Scout took some time out of her drum major duties for a perfect evening on Lake Michigan, and we captured some beautiful images to commemorate this time of her life.
