Nolan | Evergreen 2027 🎓

Part 2 of Nolan's senior collection took us to small town and nature settings, a nice contrast to his sports session. Back in July at his first session, it was close to 100º and I said his fall session *should* be much more comfortable... mother nature said, how about another 100º day in September? 😅 Thanks for hanging in there with me on another hot one!

At one month old, a Petite newborn session was just perfect for this sweet guy. He was so cozy and content all wrapped up, and we were able to keep things simple and follow his lead.

Whenever I try something new, I never really know if it’s going to be something my clients are looking for, but I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by how many wrapped newborn sessions I’ve been photographing lately. ☺️

They’re a shorter than my Signature newborn sessions and are a great fit for those 'older' newborns, too (up to about 6 weeks). And I love that they give families another option when it comes to what works best for them. 🤍

Hannah | Evergreen 2027 🎓

We got rained out once, and then on our rescheduled date, it rained basically ALL afternoon. But somehow, literally as we were pulling up to our first location, the rain stopped. 🙌🏼

And honestly, it worked out perfectly. Hannah was totally on board with a more moody look, and that overcast sky gave us exactly the vibe we were hoping for. 🖤

Our evening started out sunny then some clouds rolled in, and our second location just wasn’t giving us the vibes we were hoping for. So we didn’t waste much time — we packed up and headed to another spot along the river.

And I’m so glad we did! We caught the most gorgeous light right at blue hour, and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of her session. It was totally different, totally unexpected, and SO unique for Cadence. 💙

And this session is extra special because her family has been coming to me since 2013, back when I was still working out of my basement studio! It’s seriously one of my favorite parts of this job, getting to photograph families through all of their different seasons.
