What’s the weirdest spot you’ve been served a vendor meal? Mine is being told I could eat in the emergency staircase, on the floor, with no silverware. This was a four star restaurant comparatively.

It’s wedding day for Nicole and Rachael! I had the best time walking around Wissahickon Valley Park with them this fall (and obviously my favorite part was meeting Calvin and Lorraine).

Can’t wait to celebrate with them today!

What’s my favorite detail to photograph? Hands. ✋🏻

Holding things, holding each other, rings, details, moving together - I love the part your hands play in portraits. There’s a good chance I’m gonna take your portrait and then go “okay this one is just of your hands.” right after.

You’ll never get me to shut up about how lucky I am to photograph my friends on their happiest days. When Kate sent me the picture of her ring, she also asked me if I’d photograph her wedding (duh), and when I brought along as my second, it was one big Barksdale reunion!

Highlights include Matt’s Lego boutonnière, the cutest rings I’ve ever seen, hiding in bushes, a live accordion performance, everyone crying, the bubble guns, and Kate’s dad asking if I remember him, like I haven’t heard a thousand stories about Dave and Nina. Endlessly happy for her and Matt, and so excited to have watched their love story bloom to where it is now. I love you, guys. 🥹

There’s tornado warnings in my area today (like, seriously? Are you kidding me?!), so of course I’m daydreaming about all the brightly colored details at May and Alex’s wedding this August at Brantwyn Estate.

The colors were perfect for a summer wedding, and paired with the classic, neutral details, the vibrant florals and tablescapes really took center stage. All the props to 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Chasing away Sunday Scaries by reliving my favorite moments from Jules and Paige’s wedding this fall. From brightly colored bouquets, well thought out personal details, the coolest venue set up I’ve ever seen, and Murph being the *most* well behaved boy for portraits, I could do this day a thousand times over.
