I went big! "Yoshino Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal Basin" measures 25 x 18".

This painting involved many firsts for me! First time painting on an Italian brand, Fabriano Esportazione, 100% cotton premium deckled edge paper. Absolutely enjoyed how it reacted to watercolors! Also this was the first time I painted the cherry blossoms!

This was inspired by a trip taken last April down South. We made sure to visit Washington DC to see the cherry blossoms during peak season. This woman was sitting on a pink cushion, sporting a white dress, reading a book. It was picturesque! I've been wanting to paint it for a while now.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did painting it.

Charcoal day! Sketched at the Everson Museum on Saturday with the Urban Sketchers of Syracuse! Wonderful to tour our local museum and see all the beautiful ceramics! Found a great nook to sketch using charcoal only. It was a great way to spend the afternoon and get out of the rain. Always enjoy the time with others in the group. I later decided to put some watercolor on my sketch. Thank you to the staff at the

It was great meeting Jenny's Crayon Collection and love my new dot & stamp markers!
