“It’s with a heavy heart that we, as a collective, are forced to close the doors to Quick Moth Studio. With COVID19 ramping up its entirely irresponsible to invite you to our space and the majority of our crew are out of work. We have operated at nearly a complete loss for over a year now, but it’s been worth every minute. I’ve made some amazing new friends who are also stellar photographers all in their own right.
We lined your walls with prints. We have shown our work to the public. We raised money for Vera House Inc. We held meetups for new and familiar faces. We encouraged models, helped build portfolios, and collaborated on countless creative endeavors. We shot Syracuse Fashion Week. We photographed clothing brands, weddings, families and sometimes even pets. And let’s not forget the parties with bad playlists.
Quick Moth is not done but the studio space is, for now. When all this blows over we’ll continue promoting creative and real photography in our community, hosting meetups, and showing our work to those who care. And maybe, just maybe we’ll be able to open our doors again.
