Hello Dottie!
4 weeks ago we welcomed a 4 year old Siamese kitty after a friend shared a fb post of her old high school classmate in Little Falls looking to rehome her. I somehow convinced Tim to make the 80 minute trip to go meet “Violet” and we brought her home that day, August 9th.
The first introduction to Wilford didn’t go as planned, so we separated them for a bit. Bummed but hopeful, we decided not to share her publicly at first, did some research and went though a few stages of slowly acclimating them to each other over the past few weeks. From a closed door, feeding on opposite sides, to a full door sized gate they could see and smell each other through, to leashed feedings with her roaming free, we now have two free range pets in the house.
We choose to rename her to Dottie, (slightly crazy, eccentric, or silly by definition) which seemed fitting for how quirky, and crazy she was at first, but she’s SO SWEET, and silly. She loves to snuggle and play. She’s laying on my chest as I type this. (If you know me that’s all I’ve wanted!) She also has some sass and loves to bat at her brother if he gets too close. 🤣
It’s been so nice having a kitty around and we feel very lucky. 🥹
