It has to be true that every single couple has a person that deals with customer service calls, in this case it is Abbie that takes the reins when dealing with these types of situations. According to their very sweet, and very unique vows, which Alexis (who photographed this one) absolutely loved, they are absolutely a perfect fit for one another. Abbie & Isaac’s friends and family had nothing but lovely things to say about them, and you can feel the love in the air all around. This was a beautiful wedding celebrated at the amazing property of the Environmental Services Building.

Proposals are once again in full swing, and I’ll take on as many come our way. Love the adventure aspect, the hiking, having to keep a secret, and the meticulous planning. Typically, there is no cell signal on the mountain at all, at least in most places. So, planning a proposal takes clear and accurate communication. Being able to show the plan with visual cues, and feeling confident that the person proposing understands the exact plan. Of course all of this is decided with the person proposing.

Anthony came to me with a plan to propose on Mount Rainier, and that he intended on hiking a much longer, more strenuous hike earlier in the day. He requested that the hike be less strenuous and more accessible. So, we landed at Tipsoo Lake as the planned location. Anthony would ask that I take their photo with his phone. At that time, I put them in the exact right position and best lighting, and then back up after giving the phone back, and there you have it.

This one was well executed, and went very smoothly.

Jo & Matt wanted to elope in a dense forest setting with ferns, moss, and large trunk trees, and I’d say they got their wish. We set off for Point Defiance Park and used everything that the park has to offer. We started in a secluded forest trail, just the couple, and me (Keith), their photographer and officiant. After the ceremony, we set off for Owen Beach for that PNW beachy feel, complete with rocks and driftwood. Then off to another more barren wooded trail, followed by a stop in the Rose Garden. This was a successful elopement for this amazing and beautiful couple.

As a side note, I am available to photograph and officiate your elopement in any location. I can explain what I do and how I do it. Some might question the ability to do both, but it’s seamless.

I love it when I meet a groom that I can go to heavy metal/hardcore shows with. I often get a guest pass to join me when I’m photographing concerts, and I found out they Isaac enjoys a lot of the same music as me. So, I invited him along to one of my gigs. Had a blast hanging with him and getting to know him, and I can’t wait to have more time with Kelly as well. They are the type of couple we really enjoy spending time with. Their wedding was super fun. Had so many wonderful conversations with their family & friends, and I would hang out with most of them as well. This felt like one of those weddings that we were always meant to photograph.

Carim reached out a couple months ago with a plan to propose at Mount Rainier National Park. He wanted it to be in the early morning hours with a beautiful natural setting. Tipsoo Lake has been a favorite location of mine for a while now, and I’ll keep going back if couples would like. It’s got everything you’d want in a National Park, and everything is accessible and easily hiked. Next door to Tipsoo is the Naches Peak Loop, which leads to alpine lakes, and absolutely stunning views around every corner. Carim proposes to Taylor on a bridge close to the parking lot, but you’d never know it. The rest of the session was done around Tipsoo and along part of Naches Peak Loop.

If you are looking to propose, I’ve got plans to be in Mount Rainier National Park many times this summer. Would love to bring on many more couples, and help them make wonderful proposal memories.

Also, out of respect for the privacy of the couple, the majority of the photos being posted are more environmentally driven portraits.

Both of us were present for the wedding of Rachel & Jeremy at Hallmark Resort Hotel in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Such an honor to capture their wedding day memories, especially in such an iconic location as Cannon Beach, right in front of Haystack Rock. For those of you not familiar, this is the beach and rock featured in the movie The Goonies. Coincidentally, it’s a movie our family loves. So, this was really special. Rachel & Jeremy were delightful to spend the day with, and we loved hanging out with them on the beach on such a gorgeous day.

Lately, we’ve been super determined to push our limits with natural posing, lighting, editing techniques, and bringing the best of our personalities to the table. If we are bringing all of this, we ask our couples to bring their best as well. Rachel & Eric expressed some concern over needing direction, and we feel confident we aided in helping them bring out their best. This was also a first, where Keith did the first part of the shoot, and then Alexis took over and did the second part of the shoot. This is a mix of both of our creative minds together, but separate. The woodsy and beachy shots were done by Keith and the floral garden was done by Alexis. Overall, super pleased with the results of this session.

This is one of those relationships that we are so thankful for. We were this couples second photography booking since the first one didn’t hit the marks with them. So, they canceled with them, and proceeded to book with us. Delighted that made this decision, and to have the opportunity to get to know this fabulous couple and their families. Keith had a blast hanging with them at their wedding yesterday. Hope to see them again in the future.

The couple with the coolest names, Alexandra & Alexander, or Lady Alex and Alex Squared, got together with me in the lovely quaint town of Snoqualmie. We walked around looking for some fun locations and great light at sunset. We had such a blast together, that I completely lost track of time, which is a good thing. We talked life, music, sports, and more. Ended up at a bar at the end of the night, and managed to sneak a few cute photos of them being super quirky.
