Picture day doesn’t need to be a day of worry and dread. It can be something to look forward to because it’s a chance to mark the growth, change, personality, and current style of your kiddos. Help them get ready, but let them ultimately decide what to wear and how to do their hair. I’m sure they have opinions. 😂 Then let me capture them as they are, smiles and attitudes and all.

Nostalgia feels heavier in the summertime, don’t you think? I just love this time when the backyard starts to look good from all the spring gardening and projects that you swear you’d finish this year. The grill is fired up 3-4x a week, and the marshmallows and popsicles are a major food group.
I dream of photographing your family at home this summer. No stress of planning outfits at all. Just toss a burger on the grill for me. 🍔

These summer sunsets are too beautiful, not to share with someone. Too beautiful to rush through. Too beautiful to watch alone. So we stay a little longer. Long enough for golden night to turn blue, for the breeze to soften, for hands to find hands and laughter to echo cross water. Because someday, these evenings will only exist in memory. And memories like these deserve to be held onto.

This is what I’m talking about! Do you see the flood of love and affection and connection? Mmm… guys, I’m telling you. These little boys were ALL over the place during our session, but you don’t see that. You won’t remember that. You’ll remember holding your partner’s hand as you follow your kids to the “ancient dinosaur eggs” (aka giant rocks) in the water, you’ll remember the sandy hugs and snuggles, finding the perfect orange rock, and spotting pirate ships off Titlow Beach. When you get playful, you’re creating core memories. I’m creating art that you can hang on your wall.
