The skies display his craftsmanship. To say I was born with a camera in my hands is not too much of an exaggeration. My dad was a professional photographer starting in WWII and then worked as a photo journalist at the local newspaper. He gave me my first camera when I was around 4 years old. He also built a dark room in each house we lived in and taught me how to develop film and make prints. My mom was also an avid photography hobbyist. So it was that I fell in love with the ability to capture light photographically in ways that would portray people and places in impactful ways. It is my desire to honor the Creator and share these images with you in the hope that they would bring you awe, joy, inspiration, appreciation or peace for a troubled soul.

Have you been to the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge south of Olympia? Birds on their north and south migrations use the refuge to rest and feed before continuing on their way. Did you know there are at least 250 species of birds, 95 species of fish, 7 species of amphibians, and 60 insect species that you can find there? I found this beautiful heron the last time I was there! Grab some binoculars, snacks, and head on out - let me know what you find!
