Mike said something that stopped me cold.
“Through her lens, she didn’t just take pictures. She helped me see myself the way she has always seen me.”
This is the work. Not the lighting, not the posing, not the technical craft (though those matter). This is it.
Two years ago, my husband decided to invest in himself. Early mornings, heavy weights, showing up for his own vision of who he wanted to become. I watched him do that work, and I was so proud.
Last Week, he came into my studio. And what he discovered there surprised us both. He didn’t expect to see himself differently. He didn’t expect to feel that shift.
But that’s what happens when someone truly witnesses you. Not the version of you that you think you should be. The real, whole, beautiful version of you that’s already there, doing the work, showing up, becoming.
That’s what I do. Not just in my studio, but in my life. With Mike. With my clients. With everyone I’m blessed to know. I see people. Really see them. And I help them see themselves that way too.
Mike, I’m so proud of you. Thank you for trusting me with this. Thank you for being so generous with your words. And thank you for showing up for me the way you show up for everything you care about. I love you.
For everyone else reading this: if you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to be truly seen and celebrated, that’s what I’m here to create with you.
