Julie and her family are SUCH a hoot. I’m so blessed to call her my friend and to see our kids become great friends too. She’s been teaching me a lot about teenage daughters and what to expect haha! Mount Rainier is truly a work of art. You cant go wrong looking in any direction.

Jace and Maverick have lived in Washington their entire lives yet this was their very first time visiting Mount Rainier. As a Texan, I felt honored to be their tour guide (an out of breath one LOL).

I feel like dads don’t always get enough of the spotlight during newborn sessions. And I get it!! Moms deserve all the love and attention after everything they’ve done. But there’s something so beautiful about watching a dad hold and admire his brand new baby. So strong, yet so incredibly tender.

“How should we pose? Should we stand here?”

“Just be in the moment, and just do life” I said as these two nervous first time parents were waiting for me to finish setting up.

For me personally, I love love love natural lifestyle photoshoots. I think candid moments really capture the essence of the specific season you shoot them in. I don’t edit out the breast pump part peeking in the corner, or the nails you couldn’t paint. It’s all part of the beauty of the moment.

What is marriage without sacrifice? Probably the opposite of what Peter and Shelby have. Together, they’ve faithfully navigated years of school, career changes, and big life altering decisions.

Fearless is the word that comes to mind when I think of these two. It was such an honor to witness the joy, laughter, and unwavering love that filled the warm Washington summer air on their wedding day.

I hope that my photographs will remind them of their love rooted in sacrifice and their desire to journey through life together. Wherever it may take them.
