In honor of International Women's Day, I would like to honor my wonderful mother, Gloria Billingslea Hunter .
For those who know me personally, you know that my father passed away this past July. Of course, I miss him like crazy, but one of my only regrets is that I never got the chance to get him in the studio and take his portrait. So, a few months later when my mother came for a visit, I knew that she just HAD to sit in front of my lens. Honestly, I've never been so nervous for a shoot in all my years of being a photographer. I wanted so badly to capture her grace and how regal she is to our entire family. She is my first definition of a woman and the first woman I ever loved. In her I saw that women can do anything, be anything and achieve anything. She is simply amazing! So, on my father's birthday, she came to the studio and I was delighted to capture this honorable, intelligent and beautiful woman, my Mommy!
I love you much!
