People are always surprised by my answer when they ask what the most important piece of gear is.

It's almost never the camera.

Good audio makes a much bigger difference than most people realize, and it's one of the easiest upgrades you can make when you're creating content.

You don't need to spend thousands of dollars to sound professional. A simple microphone and your phone will take you a lot further than you'd think.

Start with the basics, keep creating, and upgrade the fancy stuff later. 🎤

One of the best parts of this job is getting to work with organizations that are making a real difference.

I've had the chance to work with , and every time they come through, I'm reminded how special what they do really is. They create unforgettable experiences for families with children facing cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and it's an honor to capture a small part of those moments through photos and video.

This has been a fun project to put together, and I'm really proud of how the space turned out.

Get yourself a “giant microphone”. 🎤

Or some other hook! The thing about this mic is, yeah, the audio sounds great. But what I really liked was that it gives my videos a visual hook. Like. “Why does this guy have a handheld mic outside?” It's a little different, and different gets attention.

The same goes for any business.

There are plenty of people who do what you do. The real difference is what makes people remember you once they find you.

For me, that's strategy first... and now maybe this microphone too 😎

One of the coolest parts of our Headshot Social isn't actually taking the photos...

It's watching people see them for the first time 💯

We shoot, edit on-site, and work with everyone right there so they can walk away with a headshot they actually love.

No waiting weeks. No wondering how they turned out.

Just good people, good conversations, and fresh new profile photos. 🔥

This room is built for podcasts. But today we needed a dramatic talking head setup so… we reset everything.

Moved lights, second guessed myself twice, audibled once and honestly? Loved how it came out.

The process is messy but that's the job ☝️

A few weeks ago I was packed inside .amo and ’s event shooting with and … and yeah, it was absolutely nuts.

Got the new studio… and man, it’s really something.

Seven floors up right in the middle of downtown Tampa, and pretty soon this space is gonna turn into a full podcast studio 🎙️

There’s a lobby for clients to hang before shoots, a bonus room that I still have no idea what to do with 😂 I’m honestly just excited for what’s coming next.

Downtown Tampa is exactly where I wanted to be.

Can’t wait to shoot content here with all of you 🔥

Huge shout out to and my guy RJ for the incredible work they’re doing here in Tampa Bay 🌊

Once a month we go out with them and film their cleanups, and every single time I leave feeling inspired.
