Cinema is a reflection of life and that’s what I love so much about quiet intimate style weddings that focus on soaking up the love and joy of the people you truly share life with day in and day out. The weather didn’t cooperate but the smiles never faded. They laughed, they ate, they cheered and danced. The sky faded to an extended blue hour and the lightning bugs winked in the garden where the kids ran to tell the goats all about the wedding while feeding them snacks. If storybook had a picture next to it in the dictionary, it would be this.

Erin wanted the day captured exactly as it happened. The rain was a blessing. And instead of cake, there were cinnamon rolls the size of dinner plates. Dreamy dreamy dreamy!!! Just a beautiful evening with beautiful people.

My only excuse is dedication to the bit. This engagement session was despite this hiccup, so much fun!! I love public transit, buses and trains!! Doing a session here was just so satisfying and fun. Thankfully the next train was just 5 minutes later so shout out to Pittsburgh Regional Transit for running a tight ship.

The wedding industry isn’t for the fair of heart. Being able to stay calm when things don’t go according to plan is essential if the goal is to bring a good experience to the couple. Knowing when to pivot, when to ask for help and how to problem solve to keep the day going is something that I value as much as knowing how to take amazing cinematic photos of you. With so much going on, it’s important to know that your wedding vendors have your back so you can enjoy your day and know that whatever happens, we have your back.
