The Battle of The Badges softball game took place yesterday on our Junior League World Series field at Heritage Park. The game was in support of our Taylor Veterans Museum.

It was a close game with our Taylor Police Department edging out our Taylor Fire Department 12-10.

The weekend wrapped up with the annual Taylor North Little League Golf Outing. I was proud to be a sponsor again this year and support such a great community event.

I did not take as many photos as I usually do, and a few of them did not turn out. It felt like amateur hour behind the camera at times. 😅 But it was still a great time for a great cause, as always. In addition, it was great to be in the company of Mayor Woolley and Council Chair Pro-Tem, Ron Thiede.

Events like this are a reminder of how much our community supports youth programs and the volunteers who make them possible. Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, organized, and helped make the outing another success.

And to top it all off, I even won a margarita basket!

It was a crazy, busy, fun Saturday in Taylor! From Armed Forces Rememberance Day, to the rededication ribbon cutting at Motown Harley Davidson, to our Taylor Historical Museum, and then on to Wild Weekend at our Heritage Park Petting Farm, and last but certainly not least, the Taylor Conservatory’s annual plant sale.

There's always tons to do on a weekend in Taylor.

The City of Romulus held its 8th annual Curling Royale today at Mary Ann Banks Park in the City of Romulus. I call it “Corn-hole on ice.” 😂 This fun event raised money for the Great Lakes Burn Camp For Kids.
