The Empire State Building was all lite up with constantly changing lights for the Fourth of July celebration! With precision planning by Jennifer Khordi. We were in the right spot to get the full moon rising behind it. Afterward, fireworks directly from the building brought this beautiful evening to an end.

I made a last-minute decision to attend the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning which was 1 1/2 hours away from home. These types of last-minute adventures are always exciting for me. The weather was perfect and so was the event. Seeing these massive, colorful, works of art floating overhead and filling the sky was amazing!

I was headed for bed when my husband came up to close the deck umbrellas due to the storm warnings. I had been seeing lightning for a while. I decided to try to photography lighting, something I've never done before. I googled the settings :-). I got one!!!

I visited Hope Hill Lavender Farm in Pottsville PA. It's a beautiful farm with a great store that sells products made with the lavender they produce. Next time I'll try the lavender ice-cream!

I only had one poppy this year but it was beautiful! It's just amazing how large and tight the petals are in the bud so much so that they come out wrinkled like crepe paper.
Nikon D750, Sigma Macro 150mm lens, ISO 800, f/9. 1/640 shutter. Handheld. Manual, no flash.

I went to Kiwanis Lake in York PA to photograph Egrets. They were not all that called that lake home. There were ducks, Black-crowned Night Heron, Canadian Geese along with the Great White Egrets!

Some extremes. I thought I'd push the limits with some extreme post editing on these flowers. There is always something fun to do with flowers. I took these while cleaning the flowers beds on this lovely Saturday.

I stood outside for 3 hours in 12 degree weather with winds of 15 MPH to capture the 2019 Lunar Eclipse. It was well worth the time spent! The 1st picture was taken at 11:17 PM. Totality was around 11:59 PM, and the last one was at 2:38 AM. Prints are available for sale. Message me. Proceeds will go to buy electric heated socks and gloves :-) (I'm not kidding!)
