Have been busy getting ready for my Hall of Fame Induction in 2 weeks! Ran out of money though! Can't do what I wanted to do! Oh well.....I'll just have to make do with what I have!

I apologize for not checking in! I've been so busy on my other Groups (Nitro, Alky or Gas Gone Wrong and Nitro Fire and Smoke), that I totally forgot about my Home Site! I promise! I will try to keep things up from now on!

See.....back in the '60's, there was a lot of experimenting! And with that experimenting came some failures! Very often the limits of these machines were pushed beyond their limits and something had to let go! All this was at a time when I didn't have anything to do with Drag Racing! I was being groomed as a Golfer! At age 16, I was being made ready for the Pro-Am Tour! When I wasn't doing that, I played Drums and Sang in Rock and Roll Bands! So I didn't have time for racing! But, my path was being set.....and I didn't even know it! My parents used to take me to this store that had this Magazine shop and they had all these Car Magazines with all these cool pictures! I would page through these magazines while my parents were shopping and buy the ones that had any cool pictures! The cool pictures that turned me on were of the graphic type.....of Crashes and Cars on Fire.....Stuff like that.....and they all dealt with Drag Racing! I would take these picture, mostly they were the centerfolds, and tape them to my bedroom wall. I did this until all 4 walls were covered! When I started in the '70's and as I grew into it, I started pulling the trigger and capturing these images and fownd that now they were desiring my images! So, where did I get this LUST for what I ended up as?

This is a collection of images, of what I have left, of pre-1980's Funny Cars. I lost all of my negatives and boxes of pictures in a flood shortly after I moved to Arizona in 1981! A single 3 ringed Binder with 8x10 pictures was all I had left to salvage from thousands of lost images dating back fro 1980 to 1969.
