Picture Perfect Birth

A year ago today I was able to photograph my first birth! It was a monumental day in my life and I didn't even realize it at the time. Thanks to baby E and her amazing mommy (who is now one of my best friends), I was able to attend her birth and capture all the beautiful moments. This started my year in motion so that I would be able to attend 6 more amazing births! I feel like I was put on this path for a reason. I have met some amazing families and women who I have become close friends with! Because of all these amazing people the past year of my life has been one of the best! I look forward to the future and all the births and all the amazing memories I will get to capture! Thank you to all you amazing momma's that trusted me to tell your story! Thank you to the midwives, doulas and other birth workers that have referred me to families and for your encouraging words! I am sure looking forward to another amazing year!! Just got home from an early morning birth!! Baby came within an hour of mom getting to the hospital! Mom was a total warrior and labored unmedicated and dad was a great support! They are both so smitten over their new precious girl! Stay tuned for pictures!!

Time goes by too quickly! I realized that first hand when I was asked to do baby G's 6 month milestone photo shoot! I swear it was only weeks ago that I captured her entrance into this world! Where does the time go and why does it go so quickly? I feel honored to know this family! They are beautiful people, so kind and compassionate! They allowed my own family to tag along to the photo shoot so they could check out the fire station and the awesome fire trucks! It was a true adventure and we loved it! As I am preparing for another birth here shortly I had a realization of how truly lucky I am to be part of all these beautiful births. My current client texted me a picture of her 36 week ultrasound to show me that her beautiful baby girl has chubby darling cheeks. 😊 I am so passionate about birth, it is such a beautiful and miraculous experience of life. But working with these amazing families is what makes this job so amazing!! I can't wait to meet this little girl!

Photographing births is my passion! I love being able to catch candid moments that are soon forgotten. The gift comes for me, when I give those moments back to mom and dad as photos that they can keep forever. Making those amazing memories last forever is why I love what I do! However, I figure capturing moments outside of birth can be just as magical, right?!? I loved being able to shoot this sweet angel's first birthday milestone! What a little beauty she is!!!
